Memory card missing, can I replace with a standard memory card?

Asked by relliksmom Jun 07, 2021 at 02:31 PM about the 2017 Kia Soul EV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I just bought a used 2017 Kia Soul EV+. The memory card is missing, can I
replace with a standard card, or is there something special about the card that
came standard that would require me to buy a special one from the dealer?

KIA's website had a download tool somewhere, where you could download system updates. I would buy a new 32 GB (or more) SD card, contact KIA tell them what happened and ask if they can send you the download link. Put all the new files on the new SD drive. Then put the new card in, let it run its updates and it should work.
