XC60 doesnt start under the sun

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi everyone. I have 2017 xc60 (new model)  with a strange error. Car doesnt
start at all when we left it at hot weather and the sun directly hits to the front
window. Any other weather and time conditions it works normally. When it
doesnt start, driver screen is all black and nothing else. couple hours later it
works all fine. Any ideas welcome, thank you.

When things get hot they expand. Sounds like the heat from the sun is causing a bad electrical connection somewhere under the dash. Hope that helps! Jim

Hi Jim. We have found a tiny cable at the radar system that behinds the rear view mirror. As you said it expands at hot weather and touches to the bracket than short circuit happens. After cooling down get backs to the normal. Well it solved at the and. Thanks for your reply, wish you the best.
