i have a 1994 ranger with a 2.3 inline 4  with a 5 speed standrad trans my truck is weird i put a new starter and battery but i can crank the truck and go somewhere and it wont crank on less i hold the gas pedal to the floor and sometimes that dont help but if i leave it for a wall it will crank up please help

ok well on cool mornings the truck will crank y is that so

you said it will not crank when you gosomeware,have to let it sit .a crank scensor going bad will crank when cold.that is why it has to cool down before it starts again,it will soon go out and not crank at all.
