only one low beam light out

Asked by Aug 19, 2019 at 10:44 AM about the 2016 Chrysler Town & Country

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2016 town & country, the passenger side low beam is out. High beams work
fine, replaced the bulb but still not working (have separate low & high beam
bulbs on my model). Unsure if it would be a fuse or a more complex issue

If the fuse was blown, both low beams would be out. You might have a bad bulb socket or wire to it (hot or ground).

Thanks, I took it to the local Chrysler dealer and they say it is the ballast and it would be around $800 to repair. Does this sound correct? It seems excessive for a part that looks to only cost around $100.

If there is a ballast, then you have High Intensity lights; maybe Halogen. $800 seems very high. Go to a car parts store or to an independent mechanic. should cost half that.
