My car started beeping

Asked by KeelsSmith15 May 10, 2019 at 02:17 PM about the 2016 Hyundai Elantra

Question type: General

I’ve had my2016 Hyundai Elantra for 6 months
now. For the past couple of days it’s started
beeping when I turn the car off and open my door.
It also beeps when I open my door to get in my
car. Usually it does this if one of my doors is open
or a light is on or a window is down. I’ve checked
all of those and I don’t know what’s wrong.

Our 2016 had started beeping 5 beeps when you shut the car off. Sounded like door open or lights on beep. But today, we tried to start the car and it wouldn't start and showed key warning on dash. No lights had come on before. So, we changed the battery in the key fob and bingo, car started and also no more beeps when shutting the car off. I guess the 5 beeps when shutting off the car indicates a low key fob battery.
