2015 Town & Country rear driver running light not working

Asked by GuruSZ497 Jan 01, 2022 at 11:06 PM about the 2015 Chrysler Town & Country

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So only the running lights on the rear driver side stopped
working. All functions work except for the running lights on
just that light. Braking, reverse, hazards, and turn signal all
work perfectly fine on that light. I swapped the working
passenger side rear tail light with the left driver side tail
light, and all functions work except for the running light, so I
know the taillight assembly itself and bulbs are good. Also
to note, the left taillight has trailer hitch lighting wired into it
if that makes any difference. I don't have a trailer to see if
the driver side light works for a trailer. Thank you for your
help.

You need a multi tester to see what has power/ground and what don't , then you can trace it back to the source to find the problem , usually the passenger side branches off the drivers main circuit in the rear so it's possible the connection was cobbed together by king kong , at any rate you should still have a multi tester if you want to do your own repairs ,, you can't see electricity , unless it arcs .
