Jeep Compass 2015 starting problems

my 2015 Jeep compass once in a while will not start. I have to wait a day then it
will start. the electronics light up but it is silent when I turn the key. Don't know
why it is a waiting game. Hate to get rid of it since it's paid off. Ugh.
