GPS Requirements

Is On Star or Sirius XM subscription necessary for GPS to operate?

It depends on how your vehicle is equipped. I have a Chevy Colorado that only has Onstar Navigation and I have a Cadillac SRX that has built in Navigation but also has Onstar. When Our Onstar expired the GPS in the Cadillac still works fine without Onstar.

Gps should work all by itself.
