Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The steering wheel and the front end of my 1993 Grand Cherokee shake/vibrate drastically when I go over a small dip in the road at high speeds.  The shaking/vibration stops after about 10-15 seconds of coasting.

this could be one of several problems, tires rotate and balance,u-joint,s in drive shaft, balljoints, tie rods,a-frame busings, shocks i would take to mechanic i trusted and let him go over it.

Yes, it definitely sounds like a front suspension issue, but you will need to have it looked at to determine exactly which components need to be replaced.

Only when you hit a dip in the road? I'd check your draglink and trackbar ends and make sure they aren't worn out You might be getting some death wobble...that makes me think to check the trackbar right away.
