My guess is the 97 has the 4.0 six. Hopefully the 2000 does also. The alternate engine would be the 5.2 in the 97. Then the alternate for the 2000 would probably be the 4.7. That would present all kinds of major problems. Make sure you know what you have first. the find out the required engine harnesses to run the diagnostics and the emissions systems match. If so then your a go.
