Window operation and recall re: possible pawl spring tab breakage

I took my car in for a 2020 recall (misplaced paperwork when in hospital) 20S15
(20R01) recall on 2014 Ford Fusion about possibility for the pawl spring tab to
break. Dealer called this morning and said could not do because the front
passenger window would not go down and would have to be fixed first. I called
another dealer who said the window should not affect it. Which is correct?

If the reason the window won't work is because of the part that's recalled it's included. If it's because of some other part it's not. For example if the window switch is broken, you'd have to pay for that but not the recall. Keep in mind that some Dealers hate doing recalls and warranty work. If that's the case, call Ford's Corporate Office and complain. Hope that helps! Jim

Correct answer is. If the window has to be in a certain position to perform the repair and the window does not have work. Then they can refuse service until you repair the window.
