Every time I drive pass 40 miles, my car
begins to shake. What does that mean?

Misfires, loose suspension, etc. Any lights light up on the instrument cluster when this happens?

Possible balance issue or tire failing . . .If your referring to 40MPH not driving distance.

Possible axle. I took my car to the dealer when I experienced the same issue as you. They advised me it was my left axle.
