Question type: General

I can't open the passenger door from the outside.  It will open from the inside.  How do I fix this.  Is this a common problem?

Not a common problem on newer cars like yours. Your exterior handle has detached from the latching mechanism. Just get into the door from the inside panel and fix it. It's not that difficult.

The outside handles are made of plastic. The rod attached to it can break. Replacing the handle is not hard. Remove the inside door panel. Lift up on the handle outside. It is held in place by two rivets on either side. Drill them out with a small drill bit. Remove the old handle. Insert the new handle and tape in place. From the inside, reconnect the rod. Using two small round head machine screws, secure the handle to the door using a lock washer on the inside. Not to long a screw as it can interfere with the window movement.
