Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

Asked by GuruKFWFW Dec 17, 2019 at 12:39 PM about the 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This is the 4th time while entering the highway that my vehicle turns off. The
1st 3 visits to the dealership they said it was the transmission and changed
it. I am on the 3rd transmission and the vehicle stopped again in the middle
of the highway with no warning. THis time i have been told it is the Hybrid
Power Relay - Safety Plug shorted due to High Voltage. Now how does my
car get HIGH Voltage damage and it has never been jumped. This dosn't
make any sense to me. Plus they say it is 675.00 for parts and 520.00 for 4
hrs of labor, plus shop fee and taxes. I looked the parts up and they are
12.18 and 11.93. What am i being charged 675.00 for and does it take 4 hrs
to change a plug? i feel i am being scammed, if i am wrong please educate
me on this issue> Greatly need advise
