both headlights blew at the same time, what would cause that, some one told
me it could be an intermittent relay?

Nope. At 6 years they're quite overdue. Just pop in the new bulbs (orient correctly!) and you'll probably be ok. There's some chance that it's fuses or relays, but the odds of blowing both is extremely small. But not the bulbs.
