I bought a 2001 Isuzu trooper for my grandson it is making a knocking like noise coming from the front I don't think it is the CV boots or motor mount or u joint I do know a little about cars I am a widow lady raising my grandson I fear for him to drive don't know what it can be can you help me? Is it dangerous? He delivers for Jimmy Johns and has a physical Disability so I am worried since it is coming from the front. Notice around 40 mph. The car has 185000 miles

It could be a number of things, bearings come to mind first. Take it to a front end specialist, you will most likely need an alignment after repairs.
