Car started and continues to squeal and code EPC
COMES UP. MANUAL STATES take authorized
dealership for VW 2012 Eos...... What could this
problem be

it is a code associated with the traction control system. you may need a more sophisticated scanner to locate the exact fault. there are likely many fault codes associated with this system. if the vehicle is still under warranty then for sure take it to the dealer like they say. if not, a well equipped independent shop can help with the code.

The EPC stands for the Electronic Power Control, which is basically the Drive by Wire Accelerator and Electronic Throttle Body system This is a common fault for VW and requires a Diagnosis of the system, code retrieval and detection. The Catalytic Converters have been a problem for VW as well and are not related to the EPC faults.
