Brakes making scraping noise

The most frequent scraping sound coming from brakes is the low pad indicator chattering. If so, you need to get the brakes looked at before you start to wear the rotor. There could be something stuck in the brake assembly; debris you picked up from the street. Inspect yourself... Now.

I would next Check rear shoes or pads also for wear or damage. (Once , on the previous generation of focus, I found a faiIrly worn (¾) rear pad that came unglued from the brake shoes and had spun around with the drum. Surprisingly, it wasn't felt through the brake pedal or car body.)
