my 2002 g20 distributor is leaking oil.

how do I fix it? had someone tell that the proper way is to take the head off. is that right?

No you dont need to remove the valve cover. Unless the seal itself is leaking. Mines leaked at the distributor as well. Remove the distributor and there is a black ring gasket that may need to be changed. If its flat change it. Its supposed to be round to create a good seal. Or... You can put rtv in around the seal allow it to dry and reinstall. Make sure before removing the distributor you mark it to put back in without advancing or retarding the timing.
