Has my bmw got a timing belt or chain

Hi, iv just bought a 2006 bmw 520d se tourer, can anyone
tell me if it has a timing belt or chain?? Got loads of
paperwork with it but nothing bout the timing belt/chain...
its got 152,456 on clock.. thanks

Your car has the M54 inline 6 cylinder engine which uses a chain.
