BMW 318i electrical connector

Asked by Feb 03, 2018 at 10:05 AM about the 2011 BMW 3 Series

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had my bonnet open today and noticed a
connector was disconnected.  Can anyone tell me
what this is for? It is just above the water refill for
the windscreen. The one with yellow cables in top
centre of the attached photo.

Thanks

looks connected to me.

Lol. I reconnected it but it was lying loose before this.

Go to realoem.com and click on BMW catalog and put your last 6 digits of your VIN in the serial number box to search for parts. I looked briefly on just a generic 3 series and couldn't find it. You might want to post this question on the E90 bimmerfest forum.

Thanks Tom. I’ll give these a go.

For info, someone on bimmerfest has told me it is the AUC for controlling the auto recirculation sensor.
