It is, stay away from dealers they always charge way too much for anything they do. If you need it done find an independent shop.

Mercedes dealers are, in my opinion, a must for newer cars, but for a Mercedes that old, find an independent shop that will charge half that for service. Create a relationship with that shop so you can rely on them to do the work right consistently. For a car like yours, you're gonna need it.
