My 1997 ford taurus interior light stays on when switch is on or off for 40 minutes and the dpor ajar light stays lit?

The switch in the door is broken and always on. That would give you the door ajar light too.

i had the same problem open your car doors and squirt some wd40 in the door latches in all the doors this will fix it
