off. I had to have my car towed home I have

What did you put in the tank? It sounds as if you might be burning diesel fuel. you may be able to smell it, if so you need to flush the fuel system.

Thank you for taking the time to read and answer my question.Definately not the wrong gas.No light came on before the vehicle stopped. I finally got the engine started and it is rattling and sounding bad.It was hooked up to a computer and several codes popped up.The mechanic who did the computer reading suggested that it was the timing chain, however would not be able to work on it nor was sure that the timing kit was the problem. I can't afford to buy the kit and it not the problem .Could the timing cause the rattling in the motor, and the reason why it won't start?
