I changed my brake switch on my 06 sonata. There

It may be the same problem I had with my 2012. It’s not the switch but a rubber pad that the switch pushes against when you release the brake pedal. The switch can wear a hole in the rubber pad so that even though it’s pushing against it the hole makes it so the switch is depressed.
