what is the minimum brake rotor thickness for a 96 honda accord ex?
brakes scraping when braking... changing pads... not sure whether to change rotors or just get them turned or nothing at all..
I always change the rotors when changing the pads. Most times they are rusty and the original pads bed into the rotor. Also for the cost, like $30 per rotor, it doesn't make sense to turn them down vs replacing. If you don't want vibrations and complications, replace both rotors and get a new pad set. Also pick up some silicon grease for the caliper pins.
...actually there is a wear piece, designed to make noise...to tell you that it's TOO LATE...achem, no time to change the pads...machine or replace the rotors now~
it says so on the rotor.
