I have a 97 honda civic. My petal all a sudden started going to the floor , i barley stop looked under n there is a line hanging down. What should i do? Im a young single women and need to know so i can fix it any ideas? N ideas where to take it near chesterton indiana?
I would guess the return spring on the throttle cable has broken or became disconnected. That would be simple to fix but get someone to help you. Be careful the car does not get out of control, or over rev the engine. Turning the key off will stop the engine. Watch the steering wheel does not lock while turning key off. It will be okay.
Okay thank you i will check into return spring well have someone now that we have an idea of what we r looking at or for. Thank u again
That happened to me once while driving truck. I tied a piece of baler twine on the gas pedal and the other end around my knee. Every time I lifted my leg, it would pull the gas pedal back. These things only happen when you're 500 miles from home. I made it back okay, but you be careful. Thank you for the points, Sweetheart.
