There is no cold zone... the temp gauge should be below 1/2 or little above 1/2 when the engine is hot If it goes above that it’s running hot and it will shutdown anything that is generating heat. In order to cool the engine( AC generates a lot of heat under the hood) check and make sure the radiator fan is working and that there is no engine cooling concern
Just got a message " Engine Hot/ AC off " however temp gauge was still In the cold zone. It turned off the AC motor... is it the AC or freon
