why does head lights keep going bad its not the bulbs the piece the bulb fits into has been replaced they work for awhile then they go out again

Are you touching bulbs with your skin? This is a valid question because of the oil on your skin. You need to use a clean paper towel as to not get your hand oil on the glass. It makes the light heat up more.
