Why wont my interior lights turn off in my 2009 pontiac g6 I have tried everything?

I have tried everything. NOthing is turning them off unless I turn the car on. I
have been trying for over 2 hrs!

probably already tried it but make sure the car is locked and then see if the lights go off. If that doesn't work then it may be a faulty timer or switch

Flip the switch on the over head light all the way to off. There is on, on with doors open, and completely off. There are 3 settings on that switch
