Is it possible to hotwire an 04 Honda pilot?

Asked by Guru9ZY3P7 Nov 29, 2020 at 12:41 AM about the 2004 Honda Pilot

Question type: General

I have an 04 Honda Pilot. About 5 months ago my
mom tried starting it with the wrong key. Ever since
it's been really tricky to start. I found a way, which
was inserting the very tip of the key and cranking
back towards me then very quickly putting the key
in all the way and cranking it forward. That trick
unfortunately stopped working today. Now my car
is stuck in a small grocery parking lot. I really don't
want to pay a tow fee so my mom suggested hot-
wiring it. I'm not familiar with "newer" cars. And
don't even think this would be possible with all the
chips and electronics but, I'm not an expert.
Anyone know? Also, what about making it a
keyless ignition of anything? Is that possible?

Nope, hotwiring is a thing of the past. When the security system is involved the best and cheapest way to handle it is have the vehicle towed to your local Dealer for repairs. Doing anything else will cause you more grief and expense! Hope that helps! Jim
