2004 Honda Civic EX Frontend noise

On my 2004 Honda Civic EX recently when I make a sharp right turn it makes a skipping metal to metal noise on the left side. Right side has no problems

a cv joint would sound more like a clicking sound not metal to metal...also it would happen when turning in either direction only making noise depending on the turn...so if he turned left the clicking would be heard on left turns only and vice versa...the original problem occurs when making a sharp right turn but sound is heard on the left...so i really doubt the cv joint is the culprit
