Transmission problem?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have no issues with my transmission
no warning signs that something was
wrong until I went to back out of my
driveway. I turn my car on went to
reverse my car started sounding like a
spoon caught in a garbage disposal all
my car would not move no matter if I
tried to shift in reverse, neutral, drive all
while the horrible loud noise continued.  
Put in park quickly shut off...
What the heck is wrong?
What could be the issue?
Please if anyone has any idea what
could be help me out

sounds like the parking pin isn't dis-engauged , check shift cable
