Why would my coil or my crank sensor switch not get juice?

Asked by Christy Dec 24, 2015 at 07:46 PM about the 1998 Ford Ranger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The fuel pump, starter, inertia switch and fuel pump relay are new.  The fuses in the distribution box look good.  Crank no start condition.  No Fuel, no spark.

Check or swap the pcm relay with another one that looks like it in the under hood fuse panel and check the pcm diode. If you don't have a check engine light coming on when the key is turned on or no communication with the computer through the data link connector those are the likely causes.
