Distributor Cap Wires

Asked by God Mar 21, 2021 at 05:11 AM about the 1995 GMC Yukon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've just replaced my distributor cap and I'm not quite sure
how the wires go back on. The engine is a Chevy 5.7L V8.
I'd appreciate all the help I could get

note how the cylinders are numbered. the firing order is, 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2. You see direction of rotor, clockwise. Put the number one cylinder, top dead center of compression stroke, whichever coil tower dist rotor is leading into is number one. Follow the firing order around the cap. good luck
