1998 gmc 1500 4.3liter

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck starts then stops immediately. Replaced fuel
pump, fuel regulator, new pplugs , wires, distributer
cap and button n a new coil. Put new intake
gaskets on it wen I changed regulator. Dnt no wat
else could b causing this issue. I was able to get it
running for a week then it stopped again it has
done this 3 times each time I replace smthing it
will run for a week then it just gives up

so you dont think it might be a short in the steering column....

Check if you have a silent anti theft system. Sometimes it goes on on its own. The truck starts for 1 second and then stops. If the security light blinks then your anti theft system is on.

Another issue could be the battery cable. Ensure that the cables are tight on the battery terminals.
