99 Yukon is sputtering, coughing, stalling. Just had lifters/pushrods/rocker arms/camshaft/timing chain/MAP sensor replaced. WAS NOT doing this prior to the work. Help please as my mechanic says they cannot find anything byt I say again was not having this problem before work only the lifter knock.

Not today its back at the mechanic. Stalled Friday-took back to shop - stalled Saturday when picking up from shop. Sometimes the idle drops to nothing then revs back up other times it just dies.

Sorry for split answer. Once stalled it takes 3-6 times to re-start. It will either just turn but not start or it will pop and not start or it'll start n die again. After sitting a few minutes it will start and is questionable whether it will run or not

Also ONLY does it when cold. After its warm enough it will run fine.

Sound,s like they may have left a vacume loose,or a gasket on the intake not seated right,

I'll ask today, thank you. Supposedly all lines are good but I don't know if they checked for cracks or not. Also mentioned gaskets to them this morning and asked if was sucking air or not, but don't know if they checked.

Only when cold - never warm. Starting takes several attempts before it'll stay running
