interesting problem....same as I had with my 1998. Do u have a check engine light on? Go get scanned for free at Auto Zone.....if on (Believe it will show//indicate 0201)

Now did you clean the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor .....located within the throttle body, with same cleaner as in throttle body??? that's a no-no, and you may have stunk up the MAF sensor. When you are at AutoZone....there is a specific cleaner for the throttle body.....and a separate cleaner for the MAF Sensor. Read the warning on the spray bottles

I sprayed my 1998 throttle body and got so much Black-Gunk.....had it all soaked with a pile of paper towels underneath the throttle body....I used a can and a half until it was clear//clean. I was safe to not overspray into the MAF. AutoZone tech warned me.

Once you properly clean the MAF Sensor....tell me how the truck works.....you may also be seeing/feeling/noticing that the fuel pump is starting to go....just a hunch...but not sure yet
