05 sierra will start and run normally for 1 second then dies. no lights on and
the code reader will not connect. it also had a issue where the gauge thought
it was overheating when it was not replaced waterpump thermostat and temp
sensor.any help would be a huge help thanks
Unplug your Mass Air Flow Sensor, and see if it stays running!
Could also need the computer to reset! Unplug your battery for about 15sec or so and then hook them back up. Then turn your key to the position where everything comes on but not start it until about a 1minute. then try starting it up should reset computer.

truck cut off with wife a few days ago,thought it had run a little hot changed thermostat,and ect sensor with no change,removed battery to charge,and changed temp.gauge sensor just for the heck of it....

My 1992 GMC Sierra will start but will only run for 20 seconds exactly. Change fuel pump, fuel relay, tested computer. Swapped computers, Replaced Cap and it still runs for only 20 seconds.
