check engine light comes on intermittently

yeah, seems that it happen to me too, dunno what cause it, happen every time i hits bump or accelerate, when the check engine light appear...u can feel ur engine power loss. Just my luck because my truck milage @ 80,000km i send it to mitsubishi service centre for major service. Ever since then..no more check engine light appears, even i accel or hit bump. Now my mileage almost 90,000km and it just smooth like new, hopefully nothing happen after major service.

thanks mitsu. The problem seems to have gone away, at least until the next time. Mitsub. cambodia want to replace an electrical component which they say will take 4 hours.... I think I will live with it...

Thursday my engine light came on. Had noticed lack of power over hours drive but then suddenly power came back, followed by engine light on. Returned to city and had diagnostic check. Was told carbon build up in manifold. These Triton have issues here. Had mine completely decarbonized before at 56,000ks so now only 16,000ks later was disappointed. Light was reset and on my mates advised drove another hour at 3.5 to 4000 rpm up to and around 135 to 140 kph. Really worked the Triton. I normally am far to quiet a driver for a diesel so this was a shock. Light never came on again and had another garage run their diagnostic,s on the engine again. Nothing was picked up this time. Now going like a rocket after a hiding.
