Need help

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 gmc envoy it was surging after
driving it for 30 min or so and now has no gears
and won't do anything the rpms go up but it won't
move there was no sound or anything was just
driving down the rd and it started to lose power I
stepped on the gas it didn't do anything I pulled
over and it wouldn't move after I stopped

Do you have fluid leaking? did you check the transmission fluid level and condition?

There's nothing leaking and it's been surging for a few months now and we did all the fluid checks

Have the codes read maybe a new code has been set.then post it,but what it really sounds like to me is a internal transmission failure.

I talked to a garage and they say because I was driving it down the rd and it was julting for a few months now they think it's electrical not the transmission at all
