spark plugs and petrol pump

hi there my ford bantam just cut ou while driving starts good idealing is  good
but wen i get to 3rd gear it just cuts out then i have to wait a while before i can
start again what can be the problem cause i changed the spark plugs and petrol
pump

Check the fuel filter and check for dirt in the carb. just under the needle and seat is a filter. this could be blocked. Check the carb , float level as well. You can normally check this in a 'window' on the side of the carb. Check that the Automatic choke wire is connected to the back of the alternator.
