I have a 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass ciera and it is high rpms and when I drive it dose that high reving and would like to know how to fix it and the motor is a 2.8

You would have to check for vacuum leaks which would be a cause, and check out the Idle Air Control Valve could be bad.
