93 dodge dakota 3.6L no fire to coil, fuel pump ok. has fire for a second or two when cranked then nothing.

when cranked it has fire to coil for a second or two, then nothing.

There is a white ballast resistor that should be on the fire wall or back of the engine that could be burnt out.
