my passenger door lock was punched how do I fix it?

My daughter has a 2000 Excursion and some wonderful person punched the
passenger door lock the door will not lock or unlock now.  Whats the best way to fix
it? do I have to replace the acuator and everything?

depends on how much damage was done,best thing to do is take it to your local lock smith,they can fix the problem.no bs,i use ours a lot on door locks,key switches.
