What's draining the battery?

I have a '94 Dakota and switched driver's side door, electric to
manual, ànd
something keeps draining the battery. Battery is brand new..  
wires are clipped
and open until I get original one fixed. Any ideas? I'm
stumped. Thank you

Sounds like a bad ground. Since the wiring for that door is clipped, whatever is on that circuit is not grounded. I once had a '66 Cadillac that I sent out the clock to be repaired. I noticed that the instrument cluster lights were staying on with the clock removed. I had to tape the light bulb sockets for the clock illumination to the metal dash to complete the circuit to ground for them to go out when I switched off the headlights. Otherwise it would have been killing my battery. HTH. -Jim
