Durango filling up with smoke on the inside when at idle

Asked by Feb 15, 2017 at 01:04 PM about the 2005 Dodge Durango

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Dodge Durango I recently bought. All
of a sudden it started smoking real bad from the
tail pipe when in park or at a light. It dosent smoke
while driving. It has an oil burning smell to it and
the smoke/smell will fill the inside of the truck to
the point it's a must that I ride with the windows
down. Anyone have a clue what it might be?

If it has a leak into the passenger compartment from outside that needs to be fixed. If its something burning (electrical) inside then its a must that it is found and repaired the whole thing could catch on fire.
