Antifreeze spraying out

Asked by Guru99X1L3 Oct 06, 2020 at 07:20 AM about the 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I went to leave to the store and it started to overheat so
I changed the thermostat. Well it continued to get hot, in
checking the antifreeze, realized it was empty. Added what
I had and needed more. So I grabbed more and started to
add it, well when it got to be getting full it started
leaking/pouring out.i thought maybe head gasket but car
is not sluggish and does not have white smoke coming out
the exhaust. Anyone have any ideas??

I'm having similar issue. My 05 isn't overheating, but antifreeze is spraying out. I replaced the radiator and it stopped, but 6 months later now and it's starting again.
