2005 chrysler pacifica stalls when shifting to drive

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 chrysler pacifica that starts, reverses,
however when I put it in drive it shuts down and
steering locks up.  Oil light comes on but has oil,
has is at half tank of gas, engine light is on...also
gascap message appeared after getting it home
and starting it up again to see if it will drive,
unfortunately shut down again...gascap is new...
any thoughts on why it stalls when I shift to drive?

Sorry it's a 2007 chrysler pacifica... wondering if it could be the EGR valve?
