Question type: General

My 02 Cadillac deville temperature gauge
shows a reading when i first turn the ignition
on and it keeps saying check coolant but the
coolant is full .....Im totally lost any
answers? It has a Northstar Engine

Check the float device on the coolant reservoir, it may be bad or stuck reading low level

pressure test the cooling system- maybe it is something as simple as a bad radiator cap- but MAYBE.................
